June 19. A Day that will live in infamy

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The day the Oilers should have brought the Cup home. The day Lord Stanley could be proud of the cup that bears his name, but it was not meant to be. Like Katrina before her, the hurricanes blew in and ended the party, and I woke up with one hell of a hangover from the whole ordeal.

I am not going to comment on the game, other than to say, that they won it with Canadian talent. And I am also glad that Cam Ward got the ConSmythe. Oh yes and I hope that Kevin Lowe is able to keep the inner corp of the Oilers camp into next year, because if he can do that I know that there will be a "next year". And if we are really lucky next year, there will also be a "Battle of Alberta". But we will see how the off season plays out.

Other than that things are well in NewmanVille. Work is crazy busy, actually a little too busy. Outside of work things are pretty ok, other than i really need a few days of "Ian Time" to get some laundry done and veg out a little. It would seem that everytime I have some free time, I end up in the middle of a tappers-shit-storm. Wayne got back into town on Saturday night, which after what happened at little Jens place on Friday night was a little too much for this old fart to handle. Luckily i got to bed early and had a nice day on Sunday.

Went and saw the Al Gore, movie "An Inconvenient Truth" on Sunday night. Very political and quite thought provoking on the Global Warming Conundrum. Still dont know where I stand on the whole thing, but as far as my love of hurricanes go, if he is right, there only gonna get better. I will write more when I have more to say on this topic. Anyway, thats all from me today. I have been getting pretty lazy with blogging lately, but I will try to pick up the pace a little and pull my head out of my ass.
